Chapter 1: Windows, Apache, MySQL, PHP - அடித்தளம் - Basics

வணக்கம்,
PHP கற்று கொள்வதற்கு   HTML 'லில் தேர்ச்சி தேவை இன்று,
WAMP Server மென்பொருளை server setup செய்வது எப்படி என்பதை பார்போம்.

The Pre requisties for learning PHP is Basics of HTML. I assume that you posses it. today lets see how to setup a development environment using WAMP Server.

WAMP என்றால் என்ன? What is WAMP?

W - Windows / L - Linux Operating System - கணினியின் Hardware மற்றும் கணினியை பயன்படுத்தும் நபரின் (User) இடைநிலையாய் செயல்படும் மென்பொருள் . Windows, Microsoft நிறுவனத்தின் தயாரிப்பு. Linux, Open Source

Operating systems act as an Interface between Computers hardware and the user.

A - Apache Web Server - இணையத்தளத்தில் காணப்படும் வலை தளம் (website) மற்றும்அதனுள் இருக்கும் வலை மடல்கலை (web pages) சேமித்து வைக்கவும், வலைதளத்திற்கு அனுப்ப படும் தேவையை பூர்த்தி செய்யவும் பயன்படும் மென்பொருள். இது Windows இன் உதவியுடன் இயங்கும் . இம்மென்பொருளை Web Server என்று கூறுவார்கள்.

Apache, a famous open source web server from the Apache foundation. a web server is used to host web pages/web applications. It delivers content such as web pages. it runs on an operating system (Windows/Linux).

M - MySQL Database Software - வலைதளத்திற்கு பதிவேடாக பயன் படும் மென் பொருள். Dynamic website with persistent data என்று கூறப்படும் நிலையான தோற்றம் மற்றும் தகவல் இல்லாத, தளத்தை பயன் படுத்தும் நபரின் விருப்பத்திற்கு ஏற்றவாறு தன் நிலையை மாற்றி கொள்ளும் தன்மை உடைய இணையதளத்தை உருவாக்க பயன்படும். இம்மென்பொருளை Back End software என்று கூறுவார்கள் . தளத்தின் அனைத்து தகவல்கள் இம்மென்பொருளில் சேமித்து வைக்கப்படும்.

MySQL is a popular open source database software. MySQL is used to create dynamic websites with persistent data (i.e. website can remember previous version of data). Data
s are stored in table format. This is also known as the back end of a web services.

P - PHP Server Side Scripting Language - வலை தளத்தை பயன்படுத்தும் நபரால் அனுப்படும் தகவல்களை உள் வாங்கி, நபரின் தேவையை அறிந்து, தேவைக்கேற்ற தகவல்களை அளிக்கும் வல்லமையை நம் தளத்திற்கு அளிக்க பயன் படும் மென்பொருள். கட்டமைப்பு வரிகள் மூலம் விதிமுறைகளை உருவாக்கி தளம் எப்படி செயல் படவேண்டும் என்ற விதி முறைகளையும், பதிவேட்டை எப்படி பயன் படுத்துவது என்ற விதிமுறைகளையும் , தகவல்களை எப்படி சேமிப்பது என்ற விதிமுறைகளையும் உருவாக்க பயன் படும் மென்பொருள். இதை Front End என்று கூறுவார்கள்.

PHP is a Server side scripting language. the behavior of the website is defined in the server using server side scripting languages. The role of a PHP program in a server will be like, to get the users request Process it and send the response to the user. This is also know as the front end of a web services. other front end examples are JSP,ASP etc.

WAMP Server Setup

இவ்வனைத்து மென்பொருளையும் தனி தனியே install மற்றும் Assemble செய்வது சற்று கடினமான வேலை.

Installing each softwares and assembling them to work is a bit tough for newbies. so we're recommending you to download the WAMP server and install it to your system.

சுலபமாக WAMP Server download செய்து install செய்தால் போதுமானது. இதை செய்ய

முதலில் : மென்பொருளை Download செய்யவும்

Download செய்த wampserver2.0i.exe double click செய்து கணினிஇல் install செய்யவும்.

(install செய்ய தெரியவில்லை என்றல் Next, Yes, Unblock ஆகிய button click செய்தால் போதுமானது)

install முடிந்தவுடன் தங்களது desktop இல் WampServer Icon இருக்கும். அதை double click செய்யவும்.

After Installation double click the Wamp Server icon on your desktop.

double click செய்ததும், System Tray இல் WAMP Server இயங்குவதை காணலாம்.

you can see the WAMP server running in your system tray.

இப்போது Server இயங்கிகொண்டு இருக்கிறது. இதை உறுதி படுத்த Internet Explorer அல்லது Firefox அல்லது தங்களுக்கு பிடித்தமான Web Browser Open செய்து, Address Bar இல் http://localhost என்று டைப் செய்து [Enter] அழுத்தவும். கீழ்கண்டவாறு தங்களது Screen இருந்தால் WAMP Server வெற்றிகரமாக install செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது என்பதை உறுதி செய்யலாம்.

To confirm the WAMP server installation, open you faviourit browser and type "http://localhost" is the address bar. If you see the following web page, your brand new shiny WAMP server is up and Running.
